"Today, I’m able to do the job I love."

Yves, living with Alpha-1

"My name is Yves, I’m 45, and I was diagnosed with Alpha-1 at an early age. The diagnosis was hard to stomach, but life had to go on.

"As a tiler and owner of a construction company, I am exposed to dust and particles every day. So I have to take precautionary measures (such as wearing a mask) to keep doing the job I love. Most importantly, I receive my plasma protein treatment once a month. The therapy helps stabilize my lung capacity.

"There’s no doubt that I would not be able to live the life I have chosen without this treatment."
